Our M&W scheme represents great market value and is very competitively priced. Your monthly premium is carefully calculated and there are many indicators which inform our pricing. For example, every product we specify is valuated prior to installation according to the following criteria:
• Product robustness – we review/test the product for it robustness and score it accordingly.
• Component wear and tear – we quantify, both in terms of time and number, the components that are likely to break down. Taking into account the parts and labour time we score it accordingly.
• Servicing – we quantify the components that will require servicing and the time required for this.
• Product category/industry – we take into account industry known standards about product category (CCTV, IT etc.) and score it accordingly.
These criteria then inform M&W pricing calculations which we break down into 3 main categories, Security (Intruder Alarm, CCTV and access control), AV (audio visual and sound) and IT (hardware and connectivity).
Typically, the home audio visual marketplace is the costliest in terms of extended M&W onsite schemes followed by the security industry and finally the IT marketplace, however, certain products in each industry can demand higher M&W fees, for example EPOS equipment is normally at the upper end of the scale. These fees can be anything from 8% up to as much as 25% of the initial installation value per annum.
Our M&W scheme is at the lower end of the marketplace in terms of costs but the upper end in terms of service levels and economies of scale, given the multi systems design we offer and this is why we believe it offers excellent value for money.
